Web Design Projects Good Designs

Your website is where your business resides -- it's like the headquarter of an offline company. Hence, it is important to practise good design principles to make sure your site reaches out to the maximum number of visitors and sells to as many people as possible.

Make sure you have clear directions on the navigation of your website. The navigation menu should be uncluttered and concise so that visitors know how to navigate around your website without confusion.

Reduce the number of images on your website. They make your site load very slowly and more often than not they are very unnecessary. If you think any image is essential on your site, make sure you optimize them using image editing programs so that they have a minimum file size.

Keep your text paragraphs at a reasonable length. If a paragraph is too long, you should split it into seperate paragraphs so that the text blocks will not be too big. This is important because a block of text that is too large will deter visitors from reading your content.

Make sure your website complies to web standards at www.w3.org and make sure they are cross-browser compatible. If your website looks great in Internet Explorer but breaks horribly in Firefox and Opera, you will lose out on a lot of prospective visitors.

Avoid using scripting languages on your site unless it is absolutely necessary. Use scripting languages to handle or manipulate data, not to create visual effects on your website. Heavy scripts will slow down the loading time of your site and even crash some browsers. Also, scripts are not supported across all browsers, so some visitors might miss important information because of that.

Use CSS to style your page content because they save a lot of work by styling all elements on your website in one go.

Great 100% Free Tools To Build Your Website!

Free web hosting is no secret, but finding a decent free host most certainly is! If you aren't techie enough to build your own server, and don't really want to pay for hosting. This is a good way to have a nice site for no cost to you to make a blog, show off your vacation photos in a new annoying way, Keep in touch with family, ect.

I've found a few tools I really like over the last few days I've used on this site you're viewing!

Domain Names

First, we're going to need a domain name - if you want to be fancy and get a nice .com feel free to head to Go Daddy, and register one. However, most of the good names are taken, and the one I have works just as well. Eventually we'll run out of .nets and .coms, and everyone will have to go to other extensions realizing they are exactly that.. since anyone can register a dot com they don't win much with me in the way of credibility. There is no 'real business' or 'trustworthy individual' application.

There are plenty free domain names you can get, but most are long and rather ugly. Mine is from a website called uni.cc (www.uni.cc) if you aren't googling it already. You can choose to have your freebie hosting forwarded or do a real deal DNS update which many free domain hosts don't offer. They are ad free, and only ask you place a small button on your page (like the one at the bottom of mine) stating you are a member of the uni.cc network. I like this site best, but there are plenty others you can grab up with extensions like .co.nr, .zap.to, ect.

Okay, we've got a free name! Next on our list is web hosting.

Webhosting

Since I've not got around to the other project i've reminded myself about (Home server/media center) it's time to get some free hosting! I've found many hosts; some better than others. Here's my top list for you to pick from!

#1 Freehostia (www.freehostia.com)

* Disk Space: 250 MB
* Traffic 5Gb
* 2 Domains
* 1 MySQL Database
* Their ads? No
* Your ads? Yes
* Custom 404 Pages

#2 Awardspace (www.awardspace.com)

* Disk Space: 200MB
* Traffic: 5GB
* 2 Domains
* 1 MySQL Database
* Their Ads?: No
* Your Ads?: Yes

The above listed providers have many other features available. There's one thing I dislike about Awardspace.. if a visitor encounters an error on one of your pages they are directed to the providers homepage with no back link or explanation for the error! I went with Free Hostia since I can edit my own 404s. However, you can get more space, traffic, ect. by allowing ads - That opens up your options a lot, but this should be fine for a personal page.

Now we have a domain name, and webhosting for $0.00. : )

Html Editors

Now that we have a place to park we need to get ourselves a car! Usually webhosting editors leave much to be desired if you're not an html wizard, but fear not. You can download many external programs to make this task much easier for you! If you are not very good at html you'll want something with a WYSIWYG(What You See Is What You Get) editor. There are plenty of these out there both commerical and open source.

I'm using Kompozer (www.kompozer.net) for my editing needs. You can open an existing document, or create a new one. If you have any experience with simple html at all this program will serve you well. For more advanced users you can edit in raw source code, there's a preivew button, view in browser option, ect. ect. All for zero dollars.

There are many other options that offer trial periods or 'restricted versions such as FirstPage, Coffee Cup, ect. I was using firstpage, but it started crashing on me as soon as they added the teaser wanting you to buy their full version..Don't know if they've fixed it or not since then, but you can check it out.

When you get done playing you can either upload directly to your webhosting using FTP with the built in program (though I prefer Filezilla) or you can click source, copy the code, and paste it into your not so friendly editor on your webhost.

Domain, webhosting, and an HTML editor.. that will be $0.00! Please come again. : )

RSS, and updating feeds
-----------------------

The newest thing i'm playing with is what you're reading! I wanted an easier way to do site updates, and integrating a blog seemed a great way to go. I messed with some things, and decided I like blogger the very best.

If you'd like to use blogger (www.blogger.com) on your website - I've found FTP to be the easiest way for me.

1. Go to your blogger homepage.
2. Click the Settings tab--- > Select "Publishing"
3. Choose the 'Publish via FTP option.

Now you need to enter your upload information. The FTP server information will be given to you somewhere on your host's page. You'll need to enter..

1. Your host's address FTP server address
2. Blog url (Enter the homepage address if you want the blog there.)
3. Enter the FTP path (/www.yourpage.com/ for the homepage.)
4. Enter your FTP Username and Password.

You can leave everything else alone - As they don't need to be edited to get it working. Click save, and blogger will ask if you want to republish. If you have blogs posted already click 'yes', and they will be uploaded to your webpage instead of blogger's pages.

If you want to change your site's front page content you can visit blogger, and post as normal. When you publish your site will get some new content for your visitors! There's an option to subscribe, view archives, recent posts, ect. So if your friends, family, co-workers, ect. are fans of google reader like I am they can subscribe to your webby, and be notified when you post something new!

Your site will get a nice little subscription url like mine too! (http://diyproductions.uni.cc/atom.xml) Clicking it will open up a page asking if you want google reader (or whichever feeder their using) to subscribe them.

You can edit the blog template to look pretty much anyway you like. Just make sure you don't delete any code needed to transport your blog. I did find that trying to paste the template code to Kompozer, editing, and pasting it back to blogger didn't work well..

So, I made the layout how I want it in kompozer, and paste the snippets back in their appropriate places to keep the blog working. A little slower, but nothing monumental.

Bam! Blog with RSS subscribing.. $0.00 folks. : )

Search engines
----------------

Something else that's a little irritating to find is a search engine. One that will send results of YOUR site, and not results of others from google. Most of them want some massive monthly, yearly, first born, fee to use theirs or you need the technical know how to code your own.

There are several free ones you can use. Google themselves make a site search - Though there's was not working well for me for some reason. So I went with Free Find (www.freefind.com). All you do is sign up, paste the code, have them spider your site, and you have a search for your site.

It'll search all the pages you have, and collect results for your users if you have lots of blogs or files to look through. They offer this service ad free save one banner/small text ads on top of the results page which are not very obtrusive.

You can also customize the results page to appear how you want it too! Check out mine (www.diyproductions.uni.cc) by submitting a search for anything. Clicking the logo or 'back link' sends you back to the homepage. You can alternatively select to have a 'web search' as well as site search.

We're still at zero dollars spent and we have a domain, webhost, search engine, HTML editor, blog, and an RSS feed!

There are plenty more freebies you can find by use of everyone's favorite search engine. HTML templates, buttons, graphics, pre-made content, ect. ect. This is a short list of ideas to get you started, but there are LOADS of cool site things available.

The internet was meant to be free - And we need to keep it that way! : )

Web Design And The Assembly Plant

Go to any assembly line in the world today and you will find that there is a plan and purpose for every device and component assembled – a purpose for every machine used to make the device or component. This method of assembly is based on a model of mass production, but it is also designed for consistency in the manufacture of products.

There is a similar cause and effect when it comes to web design. When you have a fully developed idea for what you need in your site design the more efficient the development process will be. Unlike an assembly line the site does not have to look the same as other sites, but it does need to bear resemblance to the most functional sites available. You will use tools to make sense of the design you create.

Web building software provides a perfect platform from which to take your ideas and forge them into something special. Web building software provides the templates while marketing support is structured to allow you to do more with web design with less cash involved in building the perfect website for your business.

Don’t get me wrong a web designer can probably do the same thing, but the overall cost can be five to ten times the cost of using web-building software. The end result of web building software is a site that is truly your creation bringing about a sense of accomplishment and pride that may not be achievable through other site design methods.

One of the other primary benefits of using web building software for your site design is that whenever you have a need to develop new content or make alterations you can do so without the need for a web designer. A password protected entrance allows you to revisit your website and make immediate changes to either design or content.

Unlike programs that require special skills in computer coding, web building software encourages the adaptable and rudimentary skills that most novice computer users already possess. Tutorials are readily available to provide assistance in coming to terms with functions that may seem difficult. However, if you can navigate the Internet you will most likely be able to manage the applications involved in site builder technology.

The startup costs are minimal and the monthly fee is affordable. Perhaps a justifiable reason an individual may have for continuing to work with a dedicated site designer is there are complicated issues for which a web designer is actually needed. However, most business owners have been wrongly convinced the process of web design is too complicated requiring expert assistance.

As with most technology the idea of developing your own site can be frightening, which might explain why so many web designers remain gainfully employed today. The truth is many of them do incredible work, but web builder technology is making web design less mysterious and available to a broad range of business and personal interests and applications.

Take an inventory of what you really need for your business website, chances are pretty strong that web building software exceeds your need.

Choosing Colour For Your Website

Colour schemes are the hardest to pick when building your website.

Why?

If your favourite colour is mauve, this may not translate into a website that is eye-appealing to potential customers. Also, you text and content may be hidden behind that colour.

Your customer might leave right away after seeing a grotesque colour scheme, so having the right colours can change the appearance and initial reaction to your website.

However, since there are infinite colour schemes, which ones will best suit you?

When designing a website, not only are you designing functionality and accessibility, you are also designing readability or eye appeal. This is different from websites that use flash to entice the visitor. Flash sites also have the disadvantage of not having the search engines being able to view a website that is entirely made of flash.

The colours should be ones that suit you, however suit the customer more. Reds, blues and orange/salmon and black on white have dramatic impact on how you perceive. For example, red has been used to demonstrate a call to action (for example, ‘buy’ can be placed within a red context because you wish the customer to ‘buy’ your product. You can place headlines in red; however, if you place the wrong headline in red, you won’t have buying customers. Red is a very powerful message marker. Use with caution.

Blue is used to have a calm experience. For example, some yoga and meditation websites will use blue to calm and red to entice their visitors to ‘buy’ their meditation services.

Some other sites have used orange/salmon to great effect. These colours can also entice visitors to find out more about your products and services as well as a combination of black and white text and background.

Traditional black on white background is still very useful. This is the basic colour scheme that we are all used to seeing and will also convey your message. What you can do is incorporate some of the other colours and see how they best suit your website and you business goals.

Colour enhances the images we see. When this is applied to website design it’s important to have your customer in mind. Determine which colour scheme works best for your website and continue to test. Once you’ve found a colour scheme that works, leave it. This will ensure your website business success.

Choosing An Effective Web Design Company

..You're a business person, you know all there is to know about your industry and your products. You felt the time was right to expand your business by harnessing the power of the internet. You know that with the tools available today, just about anyone can throw together a website, however, you also know that there are many issues and pitfalls that can turn a good idea into a complete disaster... time to call in the professionals.

Good plan!

But here's the problem...

There are hundreds of them!!! Prices range from £50 to £5000 for seemingly the same product, there are big companies, small companies and freelancers all selling web design services. Your friends grandson who just left kindergarten can do you a good deal if you're prepared to pay in cash.

In my opinion, if you are going to buy something...anything...you need to have a basic understanding of the issues surrounding it: The good points, the bad points. Acceptable and unacceptable concessions. Consequences and benefits. In this article, we are going to attempt to show you how to avoid getting ripped off by providing you with the necessary understanding required when choosing a web designer. Once you have read and inwardly digested the contents of this article, you should be confident that the web design company you choose will build you a web site that will fulfil the vision that you have for it.

Step 1: Choose a Few Reputable Web Design Firms

The first step when choosing a web design company is to shortlist a number of prospects. The best method possible is to choose a selection of companies based on personal recommendation. Many business people know other business people who can supply referrals. Given the benefit a well developed web site can have on your business, it is well worth taking the time to tap into your network of contacts to get the name of 3 or 4 satisfactory web design companies to choose from.

In the event that this doesn't work for you, use a local directory, the internet or a newspaper to make a list of potential web designers. (Remember that anyone can pay an internet marketing firm to get them at the top of a search engine such as Google so a company's ranking does not mean that they are capable of delivering a good solution.)

Step 2: Check Out the Web Design Companies Own Web Site

It stands to reason that if a company is capable of creating workable web sites or solutions then its own site should be beyond reproach, so take a look at their own web site as well as a couple of sites from their portfolio, if portfolio items are not available, simply e-mail them and ask.

The Design of the Web Site

The following are a number of things to look for when choosing a web design company from your shortlist:-

Are there apparent errors (spelling errors, missing pictures, broken links etc.)?

Attention to detail is vital in web design. What you see on a web page is the result of a great deal of complex interaction beneath the surface. If that which is visible is full of errors, it stands to reason that the same level of care has been taken over the code which makes the site function. Spelling and grammatical errors will harm your credibility and a dysfunctional web site will frustrate your audience.

Can You Easily Find the Information You Are Looking For?

This is critical. If you find yourself on a web site, the chances are you were looking for something in particular. Ensure that the elements of the designer's web site are easy to find. Check that you are able to quickly and easily spot the contents of the pages and move freely between pages.

Other design considerations are as follows:-

- Is the text clear and easy to read?

- Are the pages uncluttered and easy on the eye?

- Are there elements such as excessive animation distracting the user from the main text?

- Does the site appear quickly?

- Does the colour scheme and design fit in with the brand of the company (take the logo as a benchmark)?

The Technical Bits

Now this is important! Why?

First, because there is legislation in both the UK, the US and a variety of European countries that requires your site be accessible to disabled users. Failure to adhere to this will result in your having to hire a third party company to re-code and possibly redesign your entire web site.

Secondly, if your web site is not coded using standards (set by the www council) it may not function correctly when viewed by different people using different equipment.

Finally, it is a well known time-proven fact that if your visitor is kept waiting more than 10 seconds for a web page to appear, they will move on.

SO HOW DO I TELL ?!

I hear you cry in desperation! Well, you don't need to be a geek or even know the first thing about web design, html or programming. All you need are the addresses of a couple of useful websites and an explanation of how to use the tools found there. A web page has been created for your convenience that contains links to these sites and detailed instructions on how to use the tools provided and evaluate the results. The link appears at the foot of this page.

It should be noted that evaluating these elements will give you some idea of the technical ability of your chosen web site design companies. There are many many more issues that a web site designer should be aware of, and in fact should take care of without you even knowing about it. The points listed here are, in our opinion, those that will have the greatest impact on your business and are so often ignored by less scrupulous web design companies.

Step 3: Contact the Web Design Firms

Now you should have pretty much narrowed down the possibilities you can go ahead and get in touch. Most companies will jump at the chance to talk to you and convince you of their product offerings. However, what you are interested in are the facts, not the sales pitch.

You have already established their design and technical capabilities, now you are interested in their ability to fulfil your needs and provide you with efficient service. Ask for some references from their most recent projects. Ask for the web addresses, contact names, details and completion dates. In approaching them in this way you ensure that you're not getting the one or two satisfied clients that they have serviced in the past, you are getting up to date clients and up to date projects.

Once you have their details, call the referees. The following are some idea's of the kind of information you might want to extract from these people:-

Verify the details you have been given in respect to project completion dates.

Find out about the quality of service the client received

Ask how able the web design company was in establishing and anticipating the needs of their client.

Discuss deadlines and timely delivery

Try to establish how effective the site has been in achieving the original goals of the client

Ask if the client has any complaints

Don't be afraid to speak frankly, whether satisfied with the service or not, most people are happy to be given the opportunity to sing praises or vent frustrations.

Step 4: The End

Well, having done all of this you should have a pretty good idea which company is going to provide a solution that's going to work for you. It may seem like a lot of work, but not only are you about to part with a substantial sum of money, but if the web site you receive doesn't do its job properly, you could well be missing out on new business or worse still convincing potential clients to go elsewhere.

Web Design – The Click Phenomenon

There is a sound of death on the Internet. This sound is often overlooked and rarely acknowledged, but real nonetheless. The sound is comprised of a million clicks as they exit from a website that takes too long to download - a million clicks that could have translated into significant opportunity, but not today.

This ‘mass exodus’ is usually the result of poor web design. These poorly designed sites generally feature too many graphics that are generally too large in file size. It could be the page is overloaded with text or more likely other time consuming add-ons.

The good news is many individuals have learned the value of keeping things simple and fracturing knowledge-based content into smaller bite-sized nuggets that can fill multiple pages. Those pages are then able to load much more rapidly at the direction of a potential customer who is primarily interested in what you have to offer.

This ‘click’ phenomenon is not exclusive to slow loading pages, however. Interestingly as more and more web designers configure more flash intensive intro pages into their design the excessive “hey-look-at-me-I-can-make-a flash-intro’ designs are not finding the consumer support many online business want.

It may be true that the flash design can be beautiful, loud, or intricate. It is also likely true that the website owner is immensely pleased with the flash in his or her web design, but the collective ‘click’ presents a story that many web designers don’t want you to think about – the site visitor may not be as impressed as you were led to believe.

It takes time and money to create flash design and the use of flash design is pervasive. Some web designs have benefited from minor flash infiltration, but the use of flash in design features is often overdone. By the time the opening page has fully developed and can allow your guests to move on to the next point of navigation the customer has either lost interest or wonders if the opening page is an indication of what they can expect on every page. Either way, this is the point where many will simply bail out and look for some way to find what they need fast – not flash.

The truth is I am not anti-flash, but the overuse of it has become problematic – for consumers. I could be wrong, but they are the ones you are trying to impress, right?

The use of flash is not displeasing in itself to consumers, but the ‘shock and awe’ of flash design in many cases has been relegated to the commonplace. That being the case the ultimate response to flash is either a collective yawn or a back click of frustration.

Template rich web building technology is generally flash-free and can still deliver an attractive and easy to navigate site that can deliver your message to time-conscious consumers. It may also surprise you to know that the costs associated with this web design process can be minute in comparison to most web designer’s fees.

Maybe it’s time to develop a flash-less design.

Web Design Basics

When designing something, a designer should first go through the basics of designing. Whether he is designing a print design or web design, he must know the dos and do not's. The following items will help you know the basics of web designing as well as some techniques that are specific to coming out with the best web layout.

1. Create a design that seems friendly.

There are actually a lot of web designs that scare people away and not attract them. If you want people to return to your website, make it soothing and light. Keep your site as friendly as possible.

2. Create a great homepage

When designing your website, you should keep in mind to conceptualize a homepage that would attract your viewers. Remember that the first page that your customers see can also be the last. So learn to create a page that will attract your visitor’s attention and then draw them deeper into your site.

3. Keep in mind the principles in designing web sites

Remember to apply your design principles such as balance, contrast, emphasis, rhythm and unity. This will serve as your guide and will help you conceptualize a good web design.

4. Think small in terms of graphics

Slow pages can be really very annoying. Whether you like it or not, one cause of slowing the pages is large graphics. To avoid such problem think of using images with a size of 10-12 kb.

5. Use graphics that fit the content

Just because you have a wonderful picture of you and your boyfriend doesn’t mean that you should include it on your website. Use images that are appropriate and that connect with your site’s content.

6. Don’t use blinking images

There have been studies proving that blinking images actually annoy people. If you want to use them, though, use them sparingly. You wouldn’t want your site viewers to leave your page just because of an annoying blinking image.

7. Stay with standard layouts

Try to use a layout that is simple as possible. The 3-column layout might sound corny and boring but it helps to keep your readers stay where they are and keep reading your site’s contents. Keep in mind that readers and site viewers stick with things that are simple and easy to understand.

8. Use standard fonts and limit the number of different fonts

Use standard fonts such as Arial, Verdana, Geneva, and Helvetica. They might seem too familiar but they look better on most browsers. Now, you don’t have to worry whether your fonts will work or not.

9. Don’t be greedy

Though ads help you make money by posting them on your site, keep in mind that people visit your site because of their perceived content and not because of the ads that you put in it. For all you know, these ads may drive your viewers away, if they are too many, and could possibly make you lose money.

10. Remember your readers

Understand that, unless you’re writing a site for yourself, your site’s content should include topics that your viewers might want to read.

Website Design Concerns – The Basic

Just when you thought that you had all the aspects of your website covered, a few more concerns crop up. One of the biggest reasons why customers will leave your website is the time it takes to load or the speed of the website.

Intense graphics, too much flashy special effects and your logo design all eat into your website’s load time. As business owner first and a webmaster second, you need to ask yourself these questions:

* What do I want my website to accomplish?
* My website in its current state, does it accomplish what I want?
* Can I limit the amount of graphics used and still broadcast my message?
* How I maintain the viewer friendly design of my website?

1) What Do I Want My Website To Accomplish?

When answering this question go beyond the obvious answer of ‘I want to make money.’ More importantly, ‘How can I give the customers what they want while still achieving my business goals?’

Remember these 4 key points: what are my customers’ problems; what solutions have they sought (or ones that didn’t work); what I will offer to provide this solution and finally; why they should buy from me. When you have successfully answered these questions, get an objective opinion. Why? What you may think are reasons may not be what others see (i.e. your customers).

2) My Website In Its Current State, Does It Accomplish What I Want?

If you are creating a new website, you have the advantage of starting with a clean slate and progressing towards your goal. If you are an existing website owner, you may need to re-evaluate if your website is accomplishing what you originally set as its goals.

The ultimate review is this: Am I attracting enough customers to my website and are they buying my service or product? If you are attracting customers, yet they aren’t buying, you need to review your prices and checkout process. If they proceed to checkout and then balk (click away) again you need to determine why. If the reverse is occurring and you have frequent customers and they are buying, it may be time to see if you can add more products they may be interested in – (either through a newsletter or alerting them on the website). This will allow you to ‘up-sell’ to your customer and provide them will more solutions to their problems.

3) Can I Limit The Amount Of Graphics Used And Still Broadcast My Message?

Limiting the amount of graphics used will help your website load faster and will help deliver your message to the customer quicker. However, just because your website may have a lot of graphics doesn’t mean that it has to load fewer graphics; it may mean that the size of the file may have to be reduced in order to have the products listed show properly. For example, if you are showing ladders on your website, you may group them according to height and to no more than 3 per page.

4) How Can I Maintain The Viewer Friendly Design Of My Website?

When mapping your website allow for the fact that you will expand your website to include more information, products or services. Do not build your website with a limited capacity. You will automatically restrict yourself from expanding and possibly create more headaches down the road when you expand.

Some points to remember:

* Have clear titles
* Include a site map
* Include an ‘About Us’, ‘Contact’ and ‘Privacy’ page where people can see a real address and phone number

When you create your website, keep these questions in mind. Get some objective feedback from someone who gives you their true opinion and doesn’t say things to make you feel good. The reason: your customers don’t know you and will at any opportunity click away from your website if given the chance. You minimise the direct chance of clicking away and maximise the opportunity to provide the customer with what they want and you fulfill your business goals

What is Managed Hosting?

Managed hosting is a hosting solution whereby the hosting provider takes care of all the running and administrative tasks of your dedicated server. It is the perfect solution for customers who are looking for a full turnkey service of managing a web server, encompassing hardware, software, space, network and all related requirements. It is commonly subscribed by companies who are looking for a dedicated support to provide 100% service uptime while maintaining a level of control on their servers. The infrastructure, technical support and responsiveness of support provided by the hosting provider are definitely greater than other hosting services.

Managed hosting breaks the traditional method of having to spend capital expenditure up front in purchasing and setting up hardware and software for a server, into an operating expenditure-based model of paying monthly fee for a fully managed service. From a company’s point of view, it is very similar to outsourcing the IT and technical aspects of their online business.

This hosting service is ideal for large online businesses that prefer to focus their effort on their core business rather than having to spend extra resources and time of managing their dedicated servers. Managed hosting greatly alleviates the issues security and performance normally associated to an unmanaged or shared hosting environment. While looking expensive on the outset, managed hosting is actually the cost-effective solution due to the fact that technical expertise, uptime, responsiveness and reliable infrastructure will be guaranteed at a fixed cost.

The service included in a managed hosting extends to products such as private networks, database administration and security products. There are also hosting providers that include managed SQL server hosting services. In terms of server administration, customers can expect services such as load balancing, managed storage, database hosting, connectivity, reporting and monitoring of their servers. Physical maintenance such as equipment servicing would also be covered by the hosting providers. For an additional fee, hosting providers also normally offer software-related services. Definitely this is a solution for webmasters and companies who require fully managed services while maintaining control over the server.

In summary, managed hosting is an environment tailor-made for online businesses to focus on their core functions while at the same time have their web servers run and maintained at peak efficiency by the experts. Furthermore, all these can be enjoyed without having to spend up-front expenditure related to a web server. With an uptime of virtually 100%, businesses can be assured that the servers would function seamlessly with optimum performance.
